High Holiday Preparation Event 9/11 and 9/18
A new class/discussion from Rabbi Jack:
The High Holidays are rapidly approaching, and I have found that the more we prepare ourselves for the experience, the more meaningful it can be.
On two consecutive Wednesdays, September 11 and 18, I'll lead a discussion of the liturgy and messages of the holidays beginning at 7 PM at JCM.
The classes are independent, so please come to one or both, and they'll end around 8:15 PM. The first will focus on the days leading up to and including Rosh HaShanah while the second will focus on the Days of Repentance and Yom Kippur.
Each session will involve some singing to familiarize ourselves with the tunes, and we'll look in detail at the themes and key passages in the services.
A knowledge of Hebrew is not required.
